What happens during a tear trough treatment?
Anaesthetic cream is applied to the area for comfort. We use a cannula to inject small amounts of dermal filler in to the area/s to be treated.
Duration
The results from the filler are instant, and generally last around 9-12months.
Some patients experience results that can last even longer, but again, this is dependent on your unique response to the product and the HA contained within it.
Downtime
You may experience some swelling and slight bruising after your dermal filler tear trough treatment and this is quite normal. This should subside in a few days to a week.
Any Advice Post Procedure?
Avoiding hot baths, steam, saunas and swimming for a week after the treatment
Avoiding rubbing or touching the area or makeup application for 24 hours
Avoid taking Ibuprofen or any medication known to exacerbate bruising before or after the treatment.
